Even I, who was quick to judge because of products not made in Russia, has come to the conclusion: Besides, China, which other country produces in full themselves? Then I learned — Nothing. China is the only exception to the rule due to large population (workforce) and cheap. USA does not produce anything anymore, not on the scale of it once did. Neither will Russia. Simply put, any products that are sold as Russian will have foreign parts in it. Much like any product US makes, will have Chinese components or Taiwanese components, or South Korean components in it. Russia is a nation of 146+ million people, thus it would be very hard to be able to do simply everything. Majority of components you find in a German engineered component carried Chinese components.

The fact that this plant exists in Rostov region, and it is build built by people in Rostov region, and a large portion of the wealth goes back to Rostov region gives me the indication that this is the right direction. Add to that, if sanctions hit, it isn’t impossible to import substitute such industry as they already know which component is which and what it is meant for. Russia produces the end good, which is good. On basic consumer end goods, it may not be entirely as important, and something that is barely able to compete in, simply because of China’s output would be much larger, and too competitive and Russian would be out of the market due to higher costs.

To conclude: Even if 5% of this is from foreign entity, the concept is, it is still vastly Russian and it created jobs while providing a product that is needed in the Russian market.
