Сегодня — день, которого я с нетерпением ждал почти пять лет: на форуме «Микроэлектроника» в Алуште компания «Байкал Электроникс» представила свой новый процессор «Байкал-М».

    Sorry, that’s about all I can tell in public. And I’ve already shared my concerns to those whom, well, it may concern -- not sure this will make any difference.

    This kind of problems takes a *lot* of effort and high-level resources but dirty guys in high cabinets are getting their cleanup already: one minister (Dvorkovich was caught with a bribe, some Internal Affair officers were caught with literally piles of cash in their apartments, and quite a few city governors were jailed for various crimes, mostly bribing or stealing).

    It’s a pity this kind of surgery has to be done but when it has to, it’s better done. And it’s being done.

      Yeah, I read some stuff on that recently. It is good to know high ranking guys are facing jail time to be honest. I wish that would happen here. Every large corruption case regarding our Prime Ministers or various officials always end with no actual jail time.

      But thanks for providing info that you can.

      I have to ask though, do you work for MCST? Because I read a lot of what you post. I am very much excited to see MCST productions increase and their newer line of processors come out. Do you have a personal blog or anything that you go into details regarding development at MCST?

        No, we «just» partner with them -- I work at Basealt Ltd, former ALT Linux Ltd (a company that started off with Linux back in 2001); my personal blog here is exactly the one I use for Elbrus-related bits to share.

        *Seems* MCST doesn’t do a blog-like format on development at the moment, but they’ve got this newsfeed.

        PS: most of the (unofficial) effort to cover events «from the inside» is done by Maxim Gorshenin I believe, see his blog here, or instagram.
